Now these plants can be found throughout central Asia, Europe and North America. The roots are white, insubstantial and bitter-tasting. But the seeds are very surprising. They smell sweet, softly spicey with an appealing earthiness. Seldom used in perfume, their oil brings a distinctive note to a fragrance, blending beautifully with other mild spices and floral essences.
Parterre’s own Wild Carrot Seed is a key ingredient in The Hour of Dusk & Gold where it mingles with Nutmeg, Orris, Vanilla and Liquidambar.
