The Art of Perfumery & Perfume Making (Full Day)
A full day experience for those who want to learn about the art of perfume creation – and then put this new-found knowledge into practice.
The morning will start with an introduction to the fascinating world of perfumery. You will learn about the olfactory families, how we smell, and how fragrance can trigger potent memories. You will also be introduced to some of the unusual natural ingredients grown by Parterre and some of the methods used to extract essential oils from flowers, seeds, foliage and roots. Be prepared to sniff!
After a break for lunch, you will then create your own perfume, coming away with a 50ml bottle of fragrance that you will have designed and blended yourself.
TIME: 11.00am – 5pm approx. with break for lunch

This afternoon workshop will delve into perfume creation and explore the art of blending. You will learn about the perfume families and how fragrances are designed, and then create your own perfume (50ml bottle) to take home at the end of the session.
There will be lots of sniffing along the way!
Teenagers 15 years and over are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
