The Art of Perfumery & Perfume Making (Full Day)
A full day experience for those who want to learn about the art of perfume creation – and then put this new-found knowledge into practice.
The morning will start with an introduction to the fascinating world of perfumery. You will learn about the olfactory families, how we smell, and how fragrance can trigger potent memories. You will also be introduced to some of the unusual natural ingredients grown by Parterre and some of the methods used to extract essential oils from flowers, seeds, foliage and roots. Be prepared to sniff!
After a break for lunch, you will then create your own perfume, coming away with a 50ml bottle of fragrance that you will have designed and blended yourself.
TIME: 11.00am – 5pm approx. with break for lunch
