Expertly crafted by our Master Perfumer in Grasse, this fragrance features Persian wild carrot seed grown, harvested and distilled at the home of Parterre. The seeds have a powdery, mildly spicy scent which enhances the subtle amber character of the fragrance.
Signature Notes
VANILLA The smooth, creamy scent of this Mexican orchid is a beautiful note for any fragrance. We use Vanilla here to balance the spice and floral nature of The Hour of Dusk & Gold with warmth and sweetness. Recognisable and comforting with a sophisticated variation.
WILD PERSIAN CARROT The seeds of this attractive plant have a soft, powdery, slightly spicy scent. Originating from the Persian plateau, we cultivate and distill the seeds in our botanical collection, and the resulting oil is a key note in our fragrance.
ORRIS Powdery and floral with hints of violet. Iris extract – called Orris from the French – is one of the most expensive ingredients a perfumer can use, taking 7 years to produce. We are excited to be producing this exquisite ingredient in our botanical collection.
LIQUIDAMBAR Rich, balsamic scent with floral and spicy notes. The liquidambar tree produces this exquisite gum, whilst also having leaves of spectacular colours, especially during autumn.

The longevity of a fragrance and the strength of the scent can be greatly effected by how the fragrance is stored over time. To ensure you keep a fragrance at it’s best we recommend a few simple actions.
Keep your fragrance in a cool and dry place, away from direct exposure to light and any source of heat.
Perfume doesn’t like changes in temperature and sunlight, these factors can effect the longevity and purity of the fragrance.
Spray lightly and never touch both wrists together. This action can effect the top and middle scent notes as the friction heats up your skin, it changes the perfume profile and shortens the longevity of the fragrance.
Always take the time to wear a fragrance sample before purchasing, especially if you’ve discovered a perfume from another person. Our chemical body makeup varies, meaning scents will react differently and smell different from one person to the next.
Sensitive skin? You can still have the pleasure of wearing beautiful perfume by lightly spraying your hair, a scarf or a jacket from a distance.
Invest in a 15ml bottle for moments on the go. A fine fragrance is designed to change through the day, but if you want to enjoy those top notes for a bit longer then carry a travel sized bottle so you can top-up.
Using the ceramic pot as your reed diffuser; unscrew the top of the glass refill bottle, and pour the mixture carefully into the ceramic pot. Insert the reeds into the top of your pot. Allow 24 to 48 hours for the scent to fill your room.
You may also use the glass refill bottle as a diffuser by removing the seal and replacing the collar.
