RARE INGREDIENTS. LIMITED EDITIONS

Each year we produce a limited amount of our own rare extracts that form the signature notes.

As a result, just a few hundred bottles of each perfume are made.

All Parterre Limited Editions are hand numbered to guarantee authenticity.

Master Perfumer, Jacques Chabert, is one of the world’s leading noses.

Based in Grasse, he is an artist and expertly blends Parterre’s fragrances using our unique extracts.

Working closely with Jacques we take our time. Our final eau de pafums must be contemporary classics with individuality, appeal and longevity.

CREATING RARE EXTRACTS

The ingredients define the perfume.

Transforming rare and important plant varieties into perfume oils requires dedication and skill.

The intensity of the scent is achieved through nurturing the plants, picking at the optimum moment and distilling with care.

Ingredients can take 7 years to grow and prepare. One distillation may take days and produce a few teaspoons of oil.

Truly as valuable as gemstones.

PARTERRE EXTRACTS

After many years we now have a palette of over 20 plants and extracts. Each one complex in its own way and a labour of love. Here are some favourites …

With rich notes of whisky and hay, we have cultivated a Vetiver extract usually found in Java and Haiti.

The fragrance of Mexican Tuberose is a creamy white floral. Very potent.

Parterre has brought a new twist to citrus by extracting Bergamot Mint.

Our Rose Geranium extract has a definite rose scent with a citrus, slightly minty freshness.

EXPERIENCING SCENT

Passionate about scented plants, botanical extracts and perfume, we love to involve people in the world of fragrance.

Memorable scented experiences have included Voyage Scent Boxes, The Festival Of Scent, Talks, Botanical Tours and Product Launches

Holding perfume workshops is one of our most enjoyable adventures.

These take place regularly in the beautiful city of Bath and in other locations in the South.

We are always happy to discuss collaborations or bespoke experiences.

Scent Voyage is free with our Limited Editions and includes Four Scent Boxes and a range of scented experiences.

PARTERRE BOXED

Our 50ml & 100ml bottles are all numbered by hand, indicating the limited edition of the perfume.

The mirrored cap is simple but weighty and beautifully tactile to handle.

The high quality boxes feature specially commissioned, contemporary aquarelles representing elements of the fragrance compositions and the plants that make up the key notes.

Packaging is made and printed in England and fully recyclable.
